The Experience

The day starts with pickup from one of three Seoul stations—Myeongdong, DDP, or Hongik University—and a ride by air-conditioned coach to Nami Island. The island is known for its tree-lined roads and was the filming location for the Korean drama "Winter Sonata." You can walk at your own pace or rent a bike to cycle around; the choice is yours once you arrive. The island's landscape shifts through the seasons, and photographers and families return often for the different moods it holds.

After Nami Island, the tour moves to The Garden of Morning Calm, the oldest private garden in Korea. A stroll through its grounds takes in whatever festival or display is running that time of year. In winter, the tour departs later in the day to catch the Garden of Morning Calm Light Festival, where art installations and lighting transform the garden after dark. During winter months (December 20 to March 11), the itinerary may also include a stop at Eobi Ice Valley, a popular photo spot in the region.

The full tour runs 10 to 11 hours. A live guide in English, Korean or Chinese travels with the group. Infants ride free and can sit on an adult's lap or in a pram or stroller if you let the operator know in advance. The route and visiting hours may shift due to traffic or weather.
