You start at Piazza Farnese, the elegant square that hosts the French Embassy, and walk into Campo de' Fiori as the market is still busy with vendors. The guide shows you the stalls, introduces you to the people who work them, and you see the statue of Giordano Bruno before heading into the Jewish Ghetto: the heart of the city, where the food is unlike anywhere else in Rome. You cross the oldest bridge in Rome to reach Tiber Island, then end in the square in front of the Basilica of Santa Maria in Trastevere, one of the loveliest corners of the city.
