The experience

Your driver picks you up from your Kuta hotel in the early morning and the drive north takes you through Bali's interior toward Ubud. The first stop is the Barong and Keris dance performance, a traditional Balinese story told through movement and music about the eternal fight between good and evil: Barong the king of spirits against Rangda. The dancers move with precision and humor woven in, and afterward you can stand for photos with them. After that, you head to Celuk Village, where gold and silver craftspeople have worked for generations.
