A driver who speaks English meets you there, and the car is air-conditioned and private to your group alone. From Seminyak, the drive heads north through the island toward the highlands.

The first stop is Tegenungan Waterfall, where water drops between green rocky walls and local food stalls line the viewing area. From there, the route continues to Tirta Empul Temple, a sacred spring complex in central Bali where Balinese Hindus come for spiritual purification. The temple sits on a national cultural heritage site and carries the legend of a battle between good and evil. After the temple, the car climbs into Kintamani, where Mount Batur and Lake Batur fill a 13-square-kilometer caldera. This is the viewpoint stop—the panorama is the reason the highlands draw visitors. If you add lunch to your booking, a restaurant with views over the crater is where you eat; if not, you move on.

On the return to Seminyak, the tour passes through Ubud's cultural core. Tegalalang Rice Terrace shows the subak system—a traditional Balinese irrigation method that has shaped these paddies since the eighth century. The Sacred Monkey Forest Sanctuary occupies 27 acres and is home to over 400 long-tailed macaques divided into separate groups; the site is both a spiritual landmark and a working village project. Ubud Royal Palace sits on the main road and serves as the focal point of Ubud town. The Ubud Art Market is the last stop, where you can walk between shops selling woodwork, rattan, paintings and silver. The driver drops you back at your hotel by late afternoon.
