Tegalalang Rice Terrace spreads across northern Ubud in stepped green walls that drop away beneath you.

A full-day guided car tour from Seminyak to Ubud and Kintamani Volcano, with hotel pickup, an English-speaking driver, lunch and entry to multiple sites. The Experience

The day starts with pickup from your Seminyak hotel at 08:30 AM and heads inland toward Ubud. Your first stop is Tegenungan Waterfall, a 20-meter drop fed by the Petanu River and framed by green rocky walls; local food stalls sit at the viewing point. From there you move to Tirta Empul Temple, a complex built in 960 AD around a sacred mountain spring in the village of Manukaya. The temple sits in a landscape tied to Balinese legend and sits near the presidential palace Istana Tampaksiring, built during Indonesia's first president's tenure.

After the temples, the route climbs to Kintamani Volcano, also called Mount Batur. The crater itself spans roughly 13 square kilometers and holds Lake Batur inside it; the caldera views are the main draw here, and lunch with a view of the mountain and lake is included in the all-inclusive option. The road winds along the lake shore toward Toya Bungkah and the hot springs. Next comes the Bali Coffee Plantation, where you taste Balinese coffee and luwak coffee before the drive continues to Tegalalang Rice Terrace in northern Ubud. The terraces follow the subak, a traditional Balinese cooperative irrigation system said to have been passed down since the eighth century; Tegalalang forms one of three splendid terraced landscapes in the Ubud region.

The afternoon moves through Ubud's cultural sites. Ubud Royal Palace (Puri Saren Ubud) sits on the main Jalan Raya Ubud road and is known for its preserved Balinese architecture, gardens and evening dance performances. The Ubud Art Market follows, where shops sell wood and rattan handicrafts, paintings and silver; the market sprawls across a complex, so you can walk between stalls hunting for souvenirs. The Monkey Forest Sanctuary, home to over 400 long-tailed macaques across 27 acres, is also on the route; it functions as both a cultural site and a wildlife space. The driver speaks English and handles all logistics, and the tour wraps with drop-off back at your hotel.
