Your guide meets you at your hotel and handles the route, timing and navigation across the island's interior.

The day starts at Tegenungan Waterfall, where a short walk down maintained concrete steps and safety rails takes you to the base of the falls; the path passes Baby Tegenungan on the way down. From there you move to Tirta Empul Temple, one of Bali's busiest water temples, where holy springs believed to purify those who bathe in them flow through the grounds — you can enter the water if you want, or walk the temple grounds and photograph the pools. Lunch happens in Kintamani, a highland village where the restaurant sits with direct views of Mount Batur's active volcano and the crater lake below; the buffet is served while you're taking in those views and the cold mountain air. Between stops you pass Tegalalang Rice Terrace, the famous stepped rice fields north of Ubud, and you finish the afternoon in Ubud itself, visiting the Palace (Puri Saren Agung), a traditional royal compound with high artistic value, and Ubud Market, where the stalls sell silk scarves, handmade woven bags, statues and other crafts.
