The experience
You start from your Nafplio hotel and travel to Mycenae first, where the Cyclopean walls and the Lion Gate mark the center of the Mycenaean civilization. The vaulted tombs of Atreus and Clytemnestra sit within the same acropolis. From there the route crosses to the Corinth Canal, the narrow waterway that separates the Peloponnese from mainland Greece, then stops at Ancient Corinth to see the Temple of Apollo and the Bema of Saint Paul.
The final major stop is Epidaurus, one of Greece's most famous archaeological sites and the birthplace of medicine in antiquity. The Theatre of Epidaurus is the centerpiece: a structure that survives nearly intact from the fourth century BCE. The tour wraps by late afternoon, and the driver returns you to Nafplio, leaving the evening free to walk the old town on your own.
The whole day runs about eight and a half hours. Hotel pickup and all road transfers between sites are included, along with liability insurance and taxes. A minimum of two people per booking is required. Infants can sit on an adult's lap or use a specialized infant seat.

Top questions
Can children come?
Yes. Ticket types: Youth (7 to 12 years); Child (under 7): free.
What exactly is the Theatre of Epidaurus and why is it famous?
The Theatre of Epidaurus is an ancient Greek amphitheater built in the fourth century BCE in a sanctuary dedicated to Asclepius, the god of medicine. It is one of the best-preserved theatres from antiquity and is renowned for its exceptional acoustics. A person speaking on stage can be heard clearly from the back rows without amplification. It remains one of the most complete examples of Classical Greek architecture.
Do I need a separate ticket to enter each archaeological site?
Entry to the archaeological sites is not included in the tour price. You purchase tickets at each location: Mycenae, Ancient Corinth and Epidaurus each have their own entrance fees. A licensed archaeologist guide for the sites themselves is available for an extra charge and can be arranged when you book.
How much time do we spend at each stop?
The itinerary is structured as a full-day route with stops at Mycenae, the Corinth Canal viewpoint, Ancient Corinth and Epidaurus. The exact time at each site depends on your pace and interests, but the tour is designed to visit all four locations and return to Nafplio by evening within the eight-and-a-half-hour window.
Is the Corinth Canal a stop where we get out and walk, or do we just pass through?
The Corinth Canal is a viewing stop on the route between Mycenae and Ancient Corinth. You stop to see the narrow waterway that connects the Gulf of Corinth to the Saronic Gulf: a feat of engineering that separates the Peloponnese from the mainland.
What if I'm arriving in Nafplio that morning? Can this tour work?
The tour includes hotel pickup from Nafplio, so you need to be at your accommodation when the driver arrives. If you're arriving by ferry or flight that same morning, you'll need time to reach your hotel first. Pickup outside Nafplio can be arranged for an extra charge when you book.
