The experience
The tour starts with pickup from your hotel or apartment in Nafplio and heads north toward Athens. Your driver is a seasoned traveler, not a tour guide reading from a script, and will stop wherever you want to photograph or rest, including the Corinth Canal, the man-made waterway that took 2,500 workers twelve years to dig (1881–1893) and now connects the Aegean and Ionian seas. The drive itself is part of the experience, with informative commentary on the history and landscape as you travel.
In Athens, you'll see the Acropolis Hill and its temples: the Parthenon, the Erechtheion with its famous caryatid columns, the Temple of Athena Nike, and the Propylaea entrance. You'll also pass the Parliament Building with its ceremonial Evzones guards, the Academy of Athens, and Omonoia Square. Entry to the Acropolis is timed and self-guided. Your driver will not accompany you inside, but can advise on the best route and timing. On the return journey, you stop again at the Corinth Canal for photos, then visit the archaeological site of Ancient Corinth (one of the largest cities in ancient Greece), where you can walk among the remains of temples, the Roman Forum, and other monuments. The museum there houses finds from the excavations. If time permits and the site is still open, you'll climb Acrocorinth castle, the largest fortress in the Peloponnese, for views of both the Corinthian and Saronic gulfs.
The tour runs up to 10 hours and is entirely flexible. You set the pace, choose which sites to enter and when, and your driver adjusts the itinerary to match your interests. Air-conditioned vehicles range from a sedan (up to 3 adults or a family of 4) to a minivan (up to 8 people) or minibus (up to 14 people). Children under 11 ride free. Fuel, tolls, and parking are included. Entrance fees to sites and museums are not, and you book those online after your reservation with the times that suit you.

Top questions
Can children come?
Yes. Ticket types: Child (4 to 11 years): free; Infant (under 4): free.
What happens if it rains?
It may be canceled due to bad weather. If that happens, you're offered another date or a refund. Free cancellation up to 24 h before the start.
What's included in the tour price and what do I pay separately?
The tour includes your driver, vehicle, fuel, tolls, parking, and pickup from your Nafplio accommodation. You pay separately for entry to the Acropolis (€30 in winter, €15 in summer), the Ancient Corinth site and museum (€8 in winter, €15 in summer), and the Acropolis Museum if you want to visit it (€20). You book all site tickets online after booking the tour, choosing your own entry times.
Can the driver guide me through the Acropolis and the archaeological sites?
Your driver provides historical and cultural commentary during the drive and at stops outside the sites, but does not accompany you inside the Acropolis, museums, or archaeological areas. If you want a licensed archaeologist to walk the sites with you, that's available as an additional charge and depends on availability.
How flexible is the schedule if I want to spend more time at one site?
The tour is designed to be flexible within the 10-hour window. Your driver will adjust stops and pacing to match your interests. If you want to extend beyond 10 hours, you can arrange that with your driver for an additional €35 per hour (sedan), €50 (minivan), or €65 (minibus).
What size vehicle should I book for my group?
A sedan fits up to 3 adults or a family of 4 (2 adults and 2 children under 11). A minivan accommodates 1 to 8 people, with 2 children under 11 riding free. A minibus holds 1 to 14 people, also with 2 free children under 11. The price varies by vehicle type and group size.
When does Acrocorinth castle close, and will I have time to visit it?
Acrocorinth closes at 4 p.m., so whether you reach it depends on how much time you spend at the earlier stops. Your driver will let you know if there's time and can adjust the itinerary accordingly.
Do I need to book the site tickets in advance, or can I buy them when I arrive?
After you book the tour, you'll receive an official link to purchase tickets online and choose your entry times. This lets you decide when to visit each site based on your pace that day, rather than being locked into a fixed schedule.
