The Experience

Your guide meets you at your hotel and drives you to the Giza Plateau, where the three great pyramids (Khufu's, Khafre's and Menkaure's) stand aligned across the desert. You'll walk the plateau to see all three together and stand in front of the Great Sphinx, carved from a single piece of limestone. The guide explains what each structure was built for and how the blocks were moved, without the usual haggling or pressure to buy things you don't want.

After the walking tour, you ride a quad bike for an hour around the pyramid area. The bike is yours to operate. The guide leads the route. You get views of the monuments from angles the walking paths don't reach, and the speed of it (moving under your own control instead of standing still) changes how the scale of the place hits you.

In the evening, you're picked up again and taken to a Nile dinner cruise. The boat carries you downriver while a belly dancer and Tanora show performer work the deck. An open buffet runs the whole time. Soft drinks, hot drinks and alcohol are available but not included in the base price. You eat, watch, and watch the city lights reflect off the water until the boat returns you to your hotel.

What's included in the different tour options?

The base package covers the guide, quad bike ride, hotel pickup and drop-off, and the Nile cruise with dinner and show. Some options add entry fees to the pyramids, a camel ride, and lunch. The most complete option bundles all of it. You choose which one at checkout.

How long is the whole day?

The tour runs about nine and a half hours from pickup to drop-off, with the pyramid tour taking the morning, the quad bike ride lasting an hour, and the dinner cruise happening in the evening.

Do I need experience to ride the quad bike?

No. The guide leads the route and you operate the bike. It's suitable for all fitness levels. Infants must sit on an adult's lap during the vehicle transfers.

What does the Nile cruise include?

The cruise includes dinner from an open buffet, a belly dance performance, and a Tanora show. Soft drinks, hot drinks and alcohol are available for purchase. They're not part of the package.

Can I add a camel ride?

Yes. A camel ride is available as an add-on in some options. Check which package you're booking to see if it's included or available to upgrade.

Where does pickup happen?

Pickup is included from hotels in downtown Cairo and the Pyramid Area. Airport pickups and hotels in New Cairo, Nasr City or 6 October City are available for a supplement.
