The experience
The day starts at the Grand Egyptian Museum, the world's largest archaeological museum, where you walk through 12 galleries spanning 5,000 years of Egyptian history. The centerpiece is King Tutankhamun's collection: his golden mask, jewelry and royal chariots displayed together for the first time since their discovery in 1922. A professional guide who speaks your language walks you through the scale of what you're seeing: over 100,000 artifacts, each one a piece of how ancient Egypt built and ruled. This is the history part, contained and climate-controlled, before the day shifts into motion.
Then you move to the desert. A one-hour ATV quad bike ride takes you across the Giza Plateau, speeding through golden sand with the Great Pyramid, the Pyramids of Khafre and Menkaure, and the Great Sphinx all visible from the open dunes. You're operating the bike yourself, not watching from a vehicle, so the ride is what you control. The Sphinx, carved from a single limestone block and 73 meters long, sits guard over the plateau as you pass. After the ATVs, a 30-minute camel ride follows, slower and gentler, swaying across the same desert with the same pyramid backdrop but from a completely different pace and height.
Lunch happens at a local restaurant overlooking the Giza complex, where you eat authentic Egyptian dishes while the Pyramids fill the view. The tour runs 7 to 8 hours total. Hotel pickup and drop-off in a private air-conditioned vehicle, a bottle of water, and the guide are included. Depending on which option you choose at checkout, the ATV ride, camel ride, and pyramid complex entry may be added separately or bundled together.

Top questions
What languages is the tour guided in?
Live guide in English, Spanish, French, German and Portuguese.
Can children come?
Yes. Ticket types: Youth (11 to 17 years); Child (3 to 10 years); Infant (under 3).
What's inside the Grand Egyptian Museum that makes it worth a morning?
The museum holds over 100,000 ancient artifacts across 12 galleries, with King Tutankhamun's treasures (his golden mask, jewelry and royal chariots) displayed together for the first time since 1922. You move through 5,000 years of Egyptian history in one visit, from the earliest dynasties through the New Kingdom.
How does the ATV ride work? Do I need experience riding quads?
The one-hour ATV quad bike experience is a guided ride across the Giza Plateau desert where you operate the bike yourself through sand with pyramid views. The tour is suitable for all physical fitness levels, so no prior quad experience is required. The guide leads the route and you follow.
What's the camel ride like, and how long does it last?
The 30-minute camel ride is a traditional, peaceful experience across the desert near the pyramids. You sway gently atop the camel while the Great Pyramids stay in view, and it's slow enough to capture photos and absorb the landscape after the faster ATV portion.
Can I visit inside the Great Pyramid, or just see it from outside?
The Giza Pyramids complex entrance is included, which gives you access to the plateau and the monuments: the Great Pyramid of Khufu, the Pyramids of Khafre and Menkaure, the Great Sphinx, and the Valley Temple. Depending on your option, entry to go inside the pyramids themselves may be separate.
What's included in the price, and what do I need to pay extra for?
Hotel pickup and drop-off in a private air-conditioned vehicle, a bottle of water, and a professional guide in your language are always included. The ATV ride, camel ride, and pyramid complex entry depend on which option you select at checkout: some packages bundle them, others let you add them separately. Tips for the guide and driver are optional.
