The day starts at the Giza Pyramids, where you walk among the three monuments that have stood for nearly 4,500 years. Your Egyptologist guide explains the engineering and the dynasties behind each one: the Great Pyramid of Khufu, the Pyramid of Khafre with its casing stones still visible at the peak, and the smaller Pyramid of Menkaure. The Sphinx watches from the plateau as you move through the site. Lunch comes at a local restaurant positioned to overlook the pyramid plateau: a break in the day where the monuments stay in view while you eat. The menu accommodates dietary preferences.
