The experience

Your guide picks you up from your Cairo hotel and drives you to Giza in an air-conditioned vehicle. You'll spend the morning at the Pyramids of Cheops, Chephren and Mycerinus, plus the Sphinx, with time to walk the plateau and frame your own shots. A 30-minute camel ride breaks up the walking. The guide explains the history and engineering of each structure while you move at your own pace: no rushing between stops to keep a group on schedule.

After lunch at a restaurant, you head to the Egyptian Museum, which holds the world's largest collection of ancient Egyptian artifacts.
