The experience
The boat leaves your hotel between 8 and 9 in the morning and heads to Koh Chueak first, where you get 40 minutes in the water with a snorkeling mask and life jacket provided. The reef here is thick with colorful fish. From there the boat takes you to Koh Mook and Emerald Cave: the centerpiece of the day. You swim into the cave opening and float inside to a hidden beach ringed by limestone cliffs and dense forest, the water inside the cave pale green and still. The cave is one of the few in Thailand accessible this way.
After the cave, the boat heads to Koh Kradan for lunch. The buffet is served on the beach, and you get free time to swim, sunbathe or rest before the afternoon snorkeling. The last stop is Koh Ngai, where you snorkel for 45 minutes among more reef and marine life. The boat returns to the pier by 3:45pm and transfers you back to your hotel by 4pm. The guide speaks English throughout and carries a first aid kit. Weather and sea conditions can shift the order of stops or timing.
A minimum of 10 people is required to run the tour. If the operator needs to cancel, you'll be offered a different date, an alternative tour, or a full refund. The tour is not recommended for pregnant travelers or anyone with spinal injuries, high blood pressure, heart disease or bone disease. It is suitable for all other fitness levels.
