The Experience

Your licensed guide meets you on foot and works from your choices, not a script.

The tour runs 4, 6 or 8 hours depending on what you book. In 4 hours you visit 2 to 3 sites; in 6 hours, 3 to 4; in 8 hours, 4 to 6. That pace means you actually spend time at each place instead of collecting photos at a sprint. The guide speaks English and knows the history, the neighborhoods, the practical details: why Edo Castle became the Imperial Palace, how Golden Gai survived modernization, what the tidal ponds at Hama Rikyu actually do.
