Pasta and Tiramisu Cooking Class in Milan's Navigli
Make pasta, master tiramisu, drink wine in a century-old family kitchen
A hands-on cooking class in Milan's Navigli neighborhood where you make fresh fettuccine and gnocchi from scratch, then learn to layer tiramisu. You cook for 3.5 hours in a restaurant owned by the same family for a century, eat both dishes you've made with wine pairings, and leave with a certificate and recipe booklet.
The experience
The class starts in the Navigli, Milan's historic canal district, at Come Na Vorta. A restaurant that has stayed in one family's hands for a hundred years. You'll work in their kitchen learning how the grandmothers made pasta: the techniques for rolling fettuccine and shaping gnocchi, the texture that matters, the small adjustments that change everything. The instructor teaches in English or Italian and shows you the family's own methods, not a standardized routine.
After pasta comes tiramisu. You layer it yourself (the mascarpone, the coffee, the cocoa) building the dessert layer by layer and learning how the balance of flavors and textures actually works. By the time you sit down to eat, you've made both the main course and the dessert waiting on your plate.
The meal arrives in two courses: your fettuccine and your gnocchi, each dressed in a Roman traditional sauce you choose, paired with a glass of wine. Cesanese or Chianti if you want red, Bellone or Chardonnay for white. Then the tiramisu you built. Soda, water and a second wine glass come with it. At the end you take home a certificate and a recipe booklet so the techniques stay with you after Milan.
