The experience
You'll work in the kitchen of Nicoletta and Fabio's charming central Milan apartment, surrounded by their travel souvenirs and family heirlooms. They guide you step-by-step through making two handmade pastas (either fresh tagliatelle and stuffed ravioli, or saffron risotto and ossobuco alla Milanese, depending on which menu you choose at booking) plus a dessert like tiramisu or apple cake. The class runs three hours and is hands-on: you're doing the work, not watching a demonstration.
After you finish cooking, you sit down at the table with Nicoletta and Fabio to eat what you've made, with a glass of local wine. The meal uses family recipes and reflects the culinary traditions of Lombardy. If you have dietary restrictions or allergies, let them know when you book so they can adjust the menu. Vegetarian options are available.
You choose between a lunch or dinner class at checkout. The apartment is in the city center, accessible by public transportation, and all areas are wheelchair accessible. The guide speaks English, Portuguese, Italian or German.
