The experience
You start in the local market with your Cesarina host, moving through the stalls and traditional food shops where she actually buys ingredients. She shows you what to look for, how to choose, what's in season: the small knowledge that changes how you shop for food anywhere. Then you walk to her home.
In the kitchen, you watch her cook. This is not a class where you stand at a counter with an apron. It's a show cooking setup where she works through the menu while you see the techniques, the timing, the way she moves through a real family recipe. The 4-course menu shifts with the season: a starter, then pizzoccheri or risotto or lasagne, a second course with vegetables, and sbrisolona cake or tiramisù or a similar dessert. Wines from Lombardia cellars, water, and coffee come with the meal.
You eat at her table. This is the part that changes the day: you're not in a restaurant, you're in someone's home, sitting down with the person who cooked it. Cesarina hosts are part of Italy's oldest network of home cooks, over 1,000 of them across more than 500 cities, and they open their doors specifically for this: to connect travelers with how Italian families actually eat and live.

Yes. Ticket types: Child (4 to 8 years); Infant (under 4): free.
What exactly do I cook, or do I just watch?

Is this a group experience or just me and the host?

What's included in the 4-course menu?
