The experience
Three hours covers the whole arc: you start with cooking lessons on Tuscan lasagna recipes, then move into the vineyard as your dish bakes. While it's in the oven, a wine expert walks you through a guided tasting of four wines (two Spumante and two reds, including a Chianti Riserva and a Supertuscan), explaining how wine sits at the center of the region's food culture. The tasting also includes aged balsamic vinegars and three infused olive oils, so you're learning the building blocks of Tuscan cooking, not just the main dish.
Once the lasagna is ready, you sit down to a full meal in the traditional kitchen overlooking the vineyard. You eat what you made, paired with the wines you just tasted. The meal opens with Tuscan crostini (tomato, sausage, plain), then moves to homemade pasta with ragù, a second course of filet or steak, and finishes with tiramisù. Water, soft drinks and all the wine are included. The kitchen handles the rest of the prep and plating.
The class runs in English or Italian, with a live guide leading both the cooking and the wine instruction. The space is wheelchair accessible, and public transport options are nearby if you're not driving to the vineyard.
