The experience
You arrive at a working farmhouse that overlooks the upper Amalfi Coast from the site of an old castle. The Acampora family has run this land for generations, and the poet Salvatore Di Giacomo once stayed here to write. A chef meets you and walks through each dish step by step: you'll start by hand-milking one of the farm's cows, then use that fresh milk to make mozzarella from scratch. Next comes handmade tagliatelle, shaped and cut as you go. The tiramisu comes last, built from Nonna Maria's recipe: ladyfingers soaked in coffee layered with cream and dusted with cocoa.
Everything you make becomes lunch. You taste caprese made from your own mozzarella with salad leaves and cherry tomatoes, the tagliatelle dressed in a sauce of eggplant, zucchini and fresh tomatoes, and the tiramisu for dessert. Homemade wine and water come with the meal. The class runs three hours total, and you can choose between a private lesson or a public one: both follow the same menu and instruction.
If you have food restrictions, let the operator know at booking. The farm is accessible by public transport, and service animals are welcome. Alcoholic beverages go to guests 18 and older.
