The experience

An English-speaking driver picks you up from your hotel or home anywhere in Delhi, Gurgaon, Noida, Ghaziabad or Faridabad, then drives you three hours south on the Yamuna Expressway to Agra. The car is private and air-conditioned. You can ask the driver to stop for water or a bathroom break whenever you need one. All tolls, fuel and parking are covered, so there's nothing to arrange on the road.

Your guide meets you at the Taj Mahal with entry tickets already in hand: no queue at the gate. They walk you through the monument, explain its history, and stay with you as long as you want to look around. If you'd like photos of yourself there, the guide will take them. After the Taj Mahal, you move to Agra Fort, built by Emperor Akbar in 1565, where your guide leads an hour-long tour of the architecture and its significance. Again, tickets are waiting and there's no line.

Between the two forts, you stop at a 5-star restaurant for breakfast or lunch. The guide can suggest alternatives like Qairo, Sun Barbeque, Molecule, DoubleTree Hilton or Pinch of Spice if you prefer. After the meal, your guide takes you to the Tomb of Itmad-ud-Daulah, known as the Baby Taj, for a final guided walk. Then the driver returns you to your starting point in Delhi, arriving roughly eleven to twelve hours after pickup.
