The Experience

The car ride from Delhi was longer than I expected — maybe it’s just me, but three hours feels different when you’re watching the countryside blur past. Last stop: the Baby Taj (Tomb of Itimad-ud-Daulah). It’s smaller but quieter — fewer people jostling for selfies, more birdsong echoing off pale stone walls. The guide explained how it inspired parts of the big Taj; honestly, by then my brain was full but happy. On the drive back to Delhi, I dozed off with sunlight flickering through the window and kept thinking about those first few silent seconds at the Taj Mahal — you know? That feeling sticks.
