The experience

Your driver picks you up from your hotel, airport or any location in Delhi, Noida or Gurugram and drives you to Agra on the Yamuna Expressway: about three hours in a climate-controlled private car. You can ask for stops along the way if you need a break. Once you arrive, your guide meets you and hands over your pre-arranged tickets to the Taj Mahal, so you walk straight past the queue at the gate. Inside, the guide takes you through the mausoleum and explains its history (Emperor Shah Jahan built it in the 17th century for his wife Mumtaz), and you spend as much time there as you want. Your guide can also help you find the best angles for photographs.

After the Taj Mahal, the guide takes you to Agra Fort, built in 1565 by Emperor Akbar. Again, your tickets are waiting and you skip the line. The guided tour of the fort takes about an hour. Then you're driven to Courtyard by Marriott for a buffet lunch. Afterward, the guide takes you to Baby Taj, the Tomb of I'timād-ud-Daulah, for a final guided stop before heading back to Delhi in your private car. Drop-off is at your hotel, airport, railway station or any location you choose in Delhi, Noida or Gurugram.
