The Experience

I tried something called dal makhani and probably ate too much naan. Li laughed when I tried to pronounce “Itmad-ud-Daula”—I butchered it completely.

The day ended back in Delhi with that tired-but-happy feeling you get after seeing something you’ve only read about before.
