You're picked up from your Delhi hotel at 6:30am and driven three hours to Agra, where you visit the Taj Mahal, Agra Fort, and Mehtab Bagh with a professional guide. Lunch is included at a local restaurant, as are all monument entry fees and air-conditioned transport. You return to Delhi by evening, having seen three UNESCO sites without arranging tickets, transport, or timing yourself.
The car pulls away from your Delhi hotel at 6:30am, and you're on the Yamuna Express Highway heading toward Agra. Three hours of driving means you arrive with the morning light still soft, before the crowds thicken. Your guide meets you in Agra and walks you straight to the Taj Mahal — the thing everyone comes for, and it lands differently when you're not rushing. You stand in front of it, and the marble catches the light in a way photographs don't quite capture. The 17th-century tomb of Shah Jahan and Queen Mumtaz Mahal sits there, symmetrical and real, and you get time to actually look instead of just checking it off.
After the Taj Mahal, you move to Agra Fort, the red-sandstone UNESCO site built by Emperor Akbar in 1565. The fort is massive — courtyards and mosques and private chambers all woven together, Hindu and Central Asian architecture mixed in a way that tells you something about the Mughal Empire without needing a lecture. You walk through it with your guide, who points out details you'd miss alone. Then comes lunch at a local restaurant, included in the package, which means you're not hunting for somewhere to eat or worrying about the bill. It's a buffet, so you eat what you want and move on.
The afternoon takes you to Mehtab Bagh — the Moonlight Garden — on the opposite bank of the Yamuna River. It's a 300-by-300-meter square designed so Shah Jahan could view the Taj Mahal on moonlit nights, away from the crowds. You get a photo tour from here, which means the light is usually better and you're standing back far enough to see the whole monument reflected in the river. After that, there's time for shopping in Agra if you want it — the city is known for marble inlay work, leatherware, and embroidery, all Mughal-era crafts. You don't have to buy anything, but the option is there. Then the drive back to Delhi, arriving at your hotel or airport in the evening.
