Step-by-step itinerary

Grenada sightseeing and cultural stops

  • Take photos at Welcome Stone landmark
  • Enjoy scenic island views
  • Visit Concord Waterfalls
  • Tour Jouvay chocolate producer
  • Explore Carib's Leap historical site
  • Visit River Sallee Sulphur springs

The experience

The tour runs five to six hours and hits the island's main photo stops and historical sites without requiring a rental car or separate navigation. You start at the Welcome Stone landmark for scenic views and local history, then move through Concord Waterfalls, where you can see the water in context rather than just pass through. Carib's Leap in Sauteurs sits on a clifftop with views across the north coast. The guide explains its significance as one of Grenada's most historically charged sites.

The River Sallee Sulphur Springs on the northeast side hold six boiling pools heated to 95 degrees Fahrenheit by volcanic activity. Some are enlarged enough to wade into if you want to test the water. Jouvay chocolate production facility rounds out the route. It's one of a handful of large-scale cocoa processors operating in the country where the beans are grown, and you see how Grenada's volcanic soil and tropical forest cocoa ends up as finished chocolate. The guide handles the stops and the stories. You handle the camera and the questions.

Transport is air-conditioned and pickup happens from your hotel. Bottled water comes with the tour. The route works for anyone at any fitness level, though the sites themselves involve some walking and standing.
