Step-by-step itinerary
Explore Argentinean Iguazu Falls

- Take ecological train to Cataratas Station
- Walk Upper and Lower Trails
- Explore Green Trail and wildlife spotting
- View Devil's Throat from Bela Vista viewpoint
The experience
The Argentinean side of Iguazu Falls spreads across more ground than the Brazilian overlooks, so the day is built around movement: you walk sections of trail, ride the Ecological Train through the forest, and cover the Upper and Lower circuits. The train itself is the first surprise: open wagons that hold up to 250 passengers and run from the Central station to Cataratas Station, where you step off and continue on foot. Along the way you'll see coatis, monkeys and birds moving through the vegetation. The trails themselves are wheelchair accessible and suitable for all fitness levels, though the distance and the number of stops mean the day runs 5 to 6 hours.
Your guide decides with you whether to take the train or walk the Green trail to reach the waterfalls, then leads you through the three open circuits. The Devil's Throat viewpoint is currently visible from the Lower Circuit at the Bela Vista overlook (the main Devil's Throat Circuit is closed for repairs). The optional 4x4 safari and boat ride to the falls takes an additional 2 hours and is paid locally in Argentine currency. Let the operator know in advance since seats are limited.
Pickup is included, and the vehicle is air-conditioned. Park entry is your responsibility and must be purchased online before arrival. The guide meets you at the entrance and stays with you throughout the day. Infants can sit on an adult's lap or use a specialized seat, and strollers are welcome on the trails.
