The experience

You start the morning at a zipline park where you soar above the canopy of El Yunque Rainforest: the only tropical rainforest in the U.S. National Forest System. The guide provides all equipment: harnesses, gloves, helmets. After the zipline section, you head to Luquillo Beach, where you can swim in the ocean, relax on the sand, and eat at the famous Luquillo Kiosks strip, a row of open-air food stalls serving Puerto Rican cuisine.

The day ends at natural springs tucked deep in the rainforest. You wade into refreshing forest water surrounded by the sounds and greenery of the island's interior. Transportation runs the whole day in an air-conditioned vehicle, with pickup from your hotel or Airbnb. The guide shares local and cultural information as you travel between the three sites.

Is this one for you?The day runs eight hours with active ziplining in the morning and water time at the beach and springs, so you need moderate fitness and comfort with heights and harness work. Pick this if you want to combine the rainforest canopy experience with beach and forest swimming in a single outing, rather than splitting them across separate days.
