The Experience

The trail starts with a walk between trees and moves through five different obstacles. You'll cross hanging bridges, rappel down a section, try "Surfing the Jungle" (a sliding descent through the canopy), swing on Tarzan's Swing, and finish on a small zipline. A professional guide leads the group and teaches you about the island's flora and fauna as you move through each station. You wear a helmet, harness and gloves for every element that needs them.

The whole activity runs about an hour, so it fits into a morning or afternoon without eating your whole day. Bottled water is provided, and the guide adjusts the pace to the group—families with kids from 8 up do this regularly. Wear pants or leggings and close shoes like sneakers or hiking boots; tie long hair back. Avoid bathing suits, sandals or skirts. Public transportation options are available nearby if you're not driving yourself.

Top questions

What exactly is "Surfing the Jungle" on this trail?

Surfing the Jungle is a sliding descent where you move down through the canopy on a controlled slide, part of the sequence between rappelling and Tarzan's Swing.

Can my 8-year-old do all five obstacles, or are some skipped for kids?

Children from age 8 can do the full adventure trail, and the guide adjusts the experience for the group's ability level—no obstacles are skipped, but the pace and support adapt to who is there.

What happens if I'm not comfortable with heights or rappelling?

The guide works with your comfort level throughout the trail. You're harnessed and supported at every stage, and the group moves at a pace that works for everyone in it.

Do I need to bring my own water and snacks?

Bottled water is included. Food and drinks beyond that are not part of the activity, so bring snacks if you want them.

How do I get there if I don't have a car?

Public transportation options are available nearby the trail entrance. Hotel pickup is not included, so you'll arrange your own transport or use local buses.
