The experience

The Newton pulls away from the marina and it's just your group on the water. No other tourists, no schedule that isn't yours. The captain steers toward Icacos Island while the crew sets up the bar (piña coladas, rum, local beer, sodas, whatever you want), and lays out snacks and deli sandwiches on deck. If someone wants to snorkel, the guides suit everyone up with gear and jump in to show you the reefs. If someone just wants to float and drink, that works too. The boat has sea ladders that make getting in and out of the water easy, a bathroom, shaded spots, and a floating mat if you want to drift.

Once you reach Icacos Island, the captain moves the boat close enough to the beach that you can wade or swim to shore. It's a deserted island: no vendors, no crowds, just sand and palms and the water you came for. The crew will bring drinks out to you in the water or on the beach, so you're never far from the bar. Snorkeling happens if your group wants it. Beach time happens if that's all you're after.
