The experience

The tour departs Amman in the morning and drives four hours south to Petra. Upon arrival, you walk through the Siq (a narrow canyon carved into the sandstone) to reach the Treasury, the city's most photographed monument. From there you explore the Street of Facades, the Theatre, and the Roman Street, with time to visit the Monastery on your own if you choose (it involves around 900 steps). You overnight at a hotel in Petra.

The second day takes you to Wadi Rum, known as the Valley of the Moon and the filming location for Lawrence of Arabia. A Bedouin driver leads a 2-hour 4x4 safari across the desert, pointing out sand dunes, Thamudic inscriptions carved into rock, and the landscape's towering cliffs in shades of brown, red and gold. You watch the sunset from the desert, then head to the Bedouin camp for a traditional buffet dinner (Zarb) and overnight in a tent, experiencing the desert lifestyle firsthand.

On the final day, you travel to the Dead Sea, the lowest point on Earth at over 400 meters below sea level. The landscape shifts to mountains on the eastern side and rolling hills to the west. You swim in the warm, salt-saturated water and use the refresh pools before the drive back to Amman. The route covers three of Jordan's most visited destinations in a single journey, with all transport, accommodation and most meals arranged.
