The experience
The tour starts at 7 AM from your Amman hotel with a drive to Jerash, one of the largest Roman sites outside Italy. The journey takes about an hour, and you'll walk through the ancient columns and landscapes before heading to Ajloun Castle, built between 1184 and 1188 on a ridge overlooking the Jordan Valley. You'll have an hour there to explore the castle's architecture and views, then return to Amman for the night.
Day two begins at 7 AM heading south to Petra, a UNESCO World Heritage Site built by the Nabataeans in the 3rd century BC. You'll enter through the Siq, a narrow canyon that stretches 1.2 kilometers with cliffs rising 200 meters, and emerge at the Treasury: the 40-meter facade carved directly into the sandstone. Beyond that lie the Djinn blocks and other carved monuments scattered through the ancient city. By 5 PM you'll arrive at Wadi Rum, known as the Valley of the Moon, where you'll spend the night in a Bedouin-style camp. Dinner is an open buffet featuring Zarb, a traditional dish cooked underground. Optional activities like camel riding and a 2-hour 4x4 jeep tour with your driver are available separately.
On the final morning you'll leave Wadi Rum at 8 AM and drive through Aqaba toward the Dead Sea, arriving around 1 PM. You'll float for two hours, see the salt formations, and view Jerusalem's mountains across the water before heading back to Amman, arriving by 5:30 PM for hotel drop-off. The car is air-conditioned with Wi-Fi, and your driver provides a power bank and bottled water throughout the three days.
