The experience
The car picks you up from your Amman hotel or location at 7am and heads south toward Petra. You arrive by 10am at the UNESCO World Heritage Site, where the Siq (a narrow canyon carved through rose-red sandstone) opens onto the Treasury, the Monastery and the Nabatean water channels that once fed the ancient city. The driver waits while you explore on foot. How long you spend inside is yours to set. By late afternoon you're heading into Wadi Rum, arriving around 5pm to the Valley of the Moon, where towering sandstone mountains rise from the desert floor. A 2-hour 4x4 jeep tour with your driver is available here to see the Laurence Spring and Khazali Canyon, or you can book camel riding instead, both are optional. Dinner is Bedouin Zarb, cooked underground in the camp's open-air kitchen, and you sleep in a traditional Bedouin-style tent.
Breakfast comes at 8am on day two before checkout. The drive to the Dead Sea crosses through Aqaba, Jordan's coastal city on the Red Sea, where you have the option to swim and snorkel for two hours in the view of the Eilat shore. If you skip Aqaba, you arrive at the Dead Sea by 1pm. If you swim, arrival is around 3pm. Either way, you get two hours to float in the mineral-enriched water at a five-star hotel with a day-use facility and lunch included. The Dead Sea sits at the lowest point on Earth, and the high salt content makes floating effortless. On the return drive to Amman, the route stops at the Dead Sea Product Market, where mineral mud and salts derived from the water are sold. Drop-off is at your preferred Amman location.
The car is air-conditioned with Wi-Fi, soft drinks and mineral water on board. Your driver speaks English and can answer questions about the sites, though a separate local guide is not part of this tour. The itinerary is fixed across the two days, but the optional activities (the Wadi Rum jeep tour, camel riding, Aqaba swimming and Dead Sea floating) let you shape how much time you spend at each stop. If you want to skip an activity entirely, the driver adjusts the route and timing accordingly.

Top questions
What languages is the tour guided in?
Live guide in English, Spanish, French, German and Italian.
Can children come?
Yes. Ticket types: Youth (10 to 13 years); Child (2 to 9 years); Infant (under 2): free.
What exactly is the Siq at Petra, and what do I see when I walk through it?
The Siq is a narrow canyon carved through the sandstone cliffs that leads into Petra's ancient city. As you walk through it, the walls tower on both sides, and when you emerge at the far end, the carved facade of the Treasury comes into view cut directly into the rock face. It's the most famous structure in Petra and was built by the Nabataeans in the 3rd century BC.
Is the Wadi Rum jeep tour included, or do I pay extra for it?
The jeep tour is optional and not included in the base price. You can book it at checkout if you want a 2-hour guided drive through the desert to see landmarks like the Laurence Spring and Khazali Canyon, or you can choose camel riding instead, or skip both and explore the camp area on your own.
Where do I sleep on the first night, and what is the accommodation like?
You sleep in a Bedouin-style camp in Wadi Rum. The camp offers traditional desert accommodation with an open-air setting. Dinner is included (a Bedouin Zarb cooked in an underground oven), and breakfast is provided before you check out at 8am on day two.
Can I actually float in the Dead Sea, or is it just a quick stop?
You get two hours to float in the Dead Sea's mineral-enriched water at a five-star hotel with day-use facilities. The high salt content makes floating effortless, and lunch is included. If you prefer to skip swimming, you can take a 5-minute photo stop instead and head straight back to Amman.
What happens if I don't want to do the Aqaba swimming stop on day two?
Skipping Aqaba is fine. The driver will take you directly to the Dead Sea, and you'll arrive around 1pm instead of 3pm. The route adjusts to whatever optional activities you choose or skip, so you control the pace of the second day.
Is the driver a local guide who can explain the history of these sites?
Your driver speaks English and can answer questions about the sites you visit. A separate local guide is not included in this tour, so the depth of historical detail depends on your driver's knowledge and your own interest in asking questions along the way.
