Make three regional pasta dishes from scratch in a home kitchen, then eat what you've cooked.

A private pasta-making class in a Cesarina's home in Parma where you learn to prepare three authentic regional recipes (potato gnocchi, pumpkin tortelli, or herb and ricotta stuffed tortelli) over four hours, then taste everything you've made with a selection of local red and white wines. The class runs in the morning or afternoon, and you receive the exact home address once you book. A live guide teaches in English or Italian.

The Experience

You arrive at your Cesarina's home in Parma and set up at your own workstation, equipped with all the tools and ingredients you'll need. Over the next four hours, your host walks you through three authentic regional pasta recipes, teaching the techniques that have been passed down through generations. You'll get your hands into the dough, shape the pasta by hand, and learn the small tricks that make the difference between a dish that tastes like home cooking and one that tastes like Parma.

Once the cooking is done, you sit down to taste everything you've prepared. The meal comes with a selection of red and white wines sourced from regional cellars: the Cesarine only serve wines from the territory. Water and coffee are included, and you'll have time to eat slowly and talk with your host about the recipes, the region, and how to recreate these dishes at home.

You leave with the official Cesarine apron and shopping bag, both useful reminders of the class. The Cesarine are Italy's largest network of home cooks, carefully selected and trained to host culinary experiences in their own homes using local ingredients and traditional methods. Public transportation is available near the home if you don't have your own transport.
