Roll pasta by hand, make tiramisu from scratch, taste what you cook
A hands-on pasta and tiramisu cooking class in Parma held in a local home with a Cesarina (home cook), where you learn to roll sfoglia by hand, make two pasta types from scratch, and prepare tiramisu. The class runs three hours, includes an Italian aperitivo with prosecco and nibbles, wine, coffee and water, and stays small at a maximum of 12 people. You choose the option with lunch or dinner at checkout.
The Experience
You'll work in a Cesarina's own kitchen in Parma, learning the techniques these home cooks have used for years. The class starts with an Italian aperitivo (prosecco and nibbles), then moves into the hands-on work: rolling sfoglia (fresh pasta) by hand, shaping two different pasta types from scratch, and preparing tiramisu. Everything you make, you taste. The Cesarine are part of Italy's oldest network of home cooks, and they teach the way families do: by showing you their own methods and letting you work alongside them.
The three-hour session keeps to a maximum of 12 people, so there's room to ask questions and watch closely without feeling crowded. Wine, water and coffee come throughout, and the meal at the end (lunch or dinner depending on which option you book) is built around what you've just made. Public transportation runs nearby if you need it. The Cesarina's home has hand sanitizer, paper towels and the space to keep distance if you prefer.

Top questions
What languages is the guide in?
Live guide in English and Italian.
Can children come?
4 to 8 years; under 4, free.
What exactly do I learn to make in this class?
You learn to roll sfoglia (fresh pasta sheet) by hand, then shape two different pasta types from scratch, and prepare tiramisu. Each dish is something you make yourself, not watch a demonstration of, and you eat what you've cooked at the end of the class.
How many people will be in the class with me?
The class stays small at a maximum of 12 people, so you're cooking in a home kitchen with other guests but not in a large group.
What's included in the price?
The pasta and tiramisu class itself, an Italian aperitivo with prosecco and nibbles to start, wine, water and coffee throughout, and the meal at the end. Your choice of lunch or dinner comes with the option you select at checkout.
Do I need cooking experience to join?
No. The Cesarina teaches you step by step, and the class is built for people who want to learn, not for people who already know how. You'll be making pasta and tiramisu for the first time alongside others doing the same.
Where does the class take place?
In a Cesarina's home in Parma. The Cesarine open their own kitchens to guests, so you're learning in a real home kitchen, not a commercial cooking school.
