Roll, fold, and layer three courses you make yourself

A three-hour hands-on cooking class in Modena where you make fresh tagliatelle and your choice of stuffed pasta (ricotta tortelloni or capelletti), then prepare homemade Tiramisù. You cook under expert guidance, then sit down to a three-course meal of antipasto, your pasta with wine, and the dessert you made, with recipes to take home.

The Experience

The class starts with flour and eggs. Your hostess walks you through making the dough from scratch, kneading it by hand, and rolling it out to the silky sheet that becomes tagliatelle: the long golden ribbons that define Emilian cooking. Then you choose your stuffed pasta: the large, pillowy ricotta tortelloni or the delicate capelletti, folded and sealed by hand with a traditional filling. Each shape carries its own technique, and your guide shares the story behind it.

After the pasta, you move to Tiramisù, layering the ingredients with care and learning the small tricks that turn a good dessert into an unforgettable one. When the cooking is done, the aprons come off and everyone gathers around the table. The meal opens with local antipasto, moves into the pasta you made paired with fine Italian wines, and closes with the Tiramisù and coffee: a full three-course spread built entirely from your own hands.

The class runs three hours and suits all fitness levels. A minimum of two people per booking is required. If you'd rather watch and chat while your hostess cooks instead of cooking yourself, you can request that option at checkout. Recipes come home with you so you can recreate the dishes later. Public transportation is nearby if you're not driving.
