The experience
You start at the restaurant where the chef outlines the day, then walk to the Ortigia market together. There the chef points out the best raw materials for the three courses you'll cook. He's selecting what you'll work with, not just showing you around. After you've picked what you need, you return to taste a selection of typical Sicilian products paired with wine before moving into the kitchen.
The cooking itself covers three courses: a pasta dish, a second course and a salad, all typical of Sicilian cuisine. You make them, not watch a demonstration. At the end you sit down to eat what you've prepared, accompanied by wine. Bottled water is included throughout. The whole experience runs three hours.
