The experience

The route follows the Seine for 2 hours, moving past the major monuments without stopping. You'll pass under Pont Alexandre III (a particularly striking moment from inside the glass canopy), and see the Dome des Invalides where Napoleon is buried. The boat passes the Conciergerie, where King Louis XVI and Marie-Antoinette were imprisoned, and glides past the 700-meter facade of the Louvre. You'll spot the Egyptian obelisk at Place de la Concorde, the architecture of the Musée d'Orsay (a former railway station), and the Latin Quarter. At the French National Library, the boat turns back toward the city center, passing Le Marais, Île Saint-Louis and the Pont Marie, where legend says to close your eyes and make a wish. The Parisian Statue of Liberty appears just before you return to the Eiffel Tower quay.
