The experience
The boat leaves near the Eiffel Tower as the sun sets, and you board onto a cosy terrace designed to feel like a floating trattoria. The Seine carries you past some of Paris's most recognizable architecture: Pont Alexandre III with its golden decorations, the Bir Hakeim bridge (another Gustave Eiffel design), Pont de l'Alma where the Zouave statue stands at its base, and Notre-Dame cathedral in the 4th Arrondissement. The Eiffel Tower glitters at 10pm or 11pm, timed so you're on the water to see it.
Dinner is three courses of fresh Italian cooking. You start with a homemade pizzetta, then choose from four pasta mains: linguine bolognese, mezze rigatoni with truffle, spinach and fig ravioli in four-cheese sauce, or calamarata with prawns and baby spinach (the last one carries a small supplement). Tiramisu closes the meal. A bar and drinks menu are on board if you want wine, beer or cocktails. Vegetarian and vegan versions of each course can be arranged when you book.
The cruise itself runs two hours, plus boarding time, for a total evening of two and a half hours. Children from age 3 can join. Strollers are not permitted and infants cannot travel. Public transport stops are nearby if you need to get to the boat.
