You learn basic scuba skills in confined water, then dive twice in the Red Sea with a PADI instructor—either from the beach or a boat near Ras Mohamed. The day includes all equipment, lunch, hotel pickup, and runs about 6–7 hours total. You can credit the dives toward a full certification if you choose to upgrade later.
The equipment feels heavier than you'd think when you're standing on the beach in your wetsuit, and the instructor—a PADI-certified diver who's done this hundreds of times—notices you're holding your breath. He tells you to relax, that the confined water session is exactly for this: to get used to breathing underwater before the real thing. You spend about 25 minutes in the shallow water learning the basics—how to clear your mask, how to signal, how to move without panicking. It's not glamorous, but it works. By the time you're actually in the Red Sea, your body knows what to do.
The scuba diving in Sharm El Sheikh happens either from the beach or from a boat, depending on which you choose at booking. If you go by boat, you're heading to Ras Mohamed National Park or White Island—spots where the reef drops off and you can see why people travel thousands of miles for this. Your second dive lasts about 25 minutes, and the instructor stays close, pointing out fish and keeping an eye on your air gauge. The water is warm, the visibility is usually good, and you're actually underwater, doing something you've never done before. It's not a long dive, but it's real.
The day includes hotel pickup and drop-off, so you don't have to arrange transport or figure out where to go. Lunch is provided—chicken, rice, pasta, vegetables, three kinds of salad—and there's water, coffee, and tea throughout. All the scuba equipment is included, which means you're not renting anything separately. If you want to credit this toward a full PADI certification (Scuba Diver or Open Water), you can upgrade, but the basic discover dive stands on its own. You don't need experience or fitness beyond what you have; the program is designed for people doing this for the first time.
Your day includes hotel pickup and drop-off in an air-conditioned vehicle, a 25-minute confined water training session with a PADI-certified instructor, two open water dives of 25 minutes each (from the beach or by boat to Ras Mohamed or White Island), all scuba equipment, lunch with chicken, rice, pasta, vegetables and three salads, plus water, coffee and tea throughout.

Is this one for you?Book this if you want to try scuba diving without committing to a full certification course, and you'd rather not arrange transport, equipment rental, or figure out which reef to dive—the instructor, the boat or beach access, and the timing are all handled, which is what makes a first dive possible in a single day.
