Diving in Sharm el Sheikh: 2 dives in Red Sea marine parks
Wrecks sit alongside reefs that hold more color and marine life than almost anywhere else in the Red Sea.
A full-day boat diving activity in Sharm el Sheikh's marine parks, with two guided dives in the waters around Ras Mohammed and the island of Tiran. You dive the walls and reefs of the Sinai peninsula's tip, then snorkel between dives and rest on deck with lunch and soft drinks. An expert guide in your chosen language leads both dives and stays with you underwater for safety.

The experience
If you're arriving in Sharm el Sheikh for the first time or have a free afternoon, a boat dive day cuts straight to what makes the Red Sea famous. You start in the morning, sail to the first site, and drop in with your guide. The waters here are clear enough that the marine life (soft corals, reef fish, rays, sometimes sharks) reads as dense and vivid. After the first dive, you surface for snacks and time on deck to dry off or sit in the shade. The second dive follows the same rhythm, and between them the boat moves to a different reef or wreck.
The area runs from the walls of Ras Mohammed at the tip of the Sinai peninsula north to the reefs in the strait of the island of Tiran, in the Gulf of Aqaba. The marine currents here feed the reefs and make the water rich with life. Wrecks sit like history books alongside the coral walls. You'll need a valid diving license to book. The operator provides two 12-liter aluminum cylinders and weights for each dive. An air-conditioned vehicle picks you up and brings you back.
Lunch, soft drinks and snorkeling fill the hours between dives and after the second one. The whole day runs about eight hours from pickup to return. Your guide speaks English, Spanish, Italian, Arabic or one additional language, and stays with you both underwater and on the boat to answer questions about what you're seeing.
What’s included
- Two 12-liter aluminum cylinders and weights for each dive.
- an air-conditioned vehicle for pickup and return.
- a live guide in your chosen language who stays with you on both dives.

Is this one for you?The full day on the water means an early start and eight hours away from the city, so it suits someone with a free morning and afternoon rather than a quick afternoon break. You'll need a diving license and reasonable cardiovascular health to book.
