Snorkeling near Tiran Island from Sharm el Sheikh
Three snorkeling stops and a reef lunch on the Red Sea
A full-day snorkeling excursion from Sharm el Sheikh takes you by boat to three reef sites near Tiran Island, with hotel pickup, lunch and soft drinks included. You'll spend the day moving between anchored spots along the coast and near the island, descending into the coral reefs to see the fish and corals at each location. The boat serves as your base between sessions.
The experience
The boat leaves from the port after an air-conditioned transfer from your hotel in Sharm el Sheikh. You'll make three snorkeling stops: two along the coast near Sharm el Sheikh and one near Tiran Island itself (the island remains off-limits as it belongs to Saudi Arabia, but the reefs surrounding it are the draw). Between sessions you stay on board, where lunch and soft drinks are waiting.
Each snorkeling course takes you down to the coral reefs anchored in three separate areas. The underwater world here shifts between stops (different fish, different coral formations, different depths), so the variety is built into the day. You'll need to bring or rent your own snorkeling equipment. The boat does not provide it. The full outing runs about eight hours from pickup to drop-off.
Children from age three are welcome on board. Infants can travel in a pram or stroller, and specialized infant seats are available if needed. The air-conditioned bus handles the transfer both ways, so the only time you're exposed to heat is the time you're in the water.

Top questions
Can children come?
Yes. Ticket types: Child (3 to 6 years). Children under 3 can't be included in the booking.
What's the underwater scenery like at each of the three snorkeling stops?
The three anchored sites each sit over coral reefs with different compositions and fish populations. Two stops lie along the Sharm el Sheikh coast and one near Tiran Island. The reefs are what draw snorkelers to each location, and the boat positions itself so you descend directly into them from the water.
Do I need to bring my own snorkeling gear or is it provided?
Snorkeling equipment is not included, so you'll need to bring your own mask, fins and snorkel or arrange to rent them separately before the excursion.
Is the boat trip rough, or is it a smooth ride to Tiran Island?
The reference material does not describe sea conditions or the nature of the boat ride itself, only that you travel by boat from the port toward Tiran Island and anchor at three reef sites along the way.
