The experience
The private vehicle picks you up between 4 and 6:30 AM from your Buenos Aires hotel, heading straight to the airport for the roughly two-hour flight to Iguazu. By 7 to 9 AM you're on the ground in Puerto Iguazú, meeting your guide and climbing into an air-conditioned transfer that cuts the 15-minute drive to the national park entrance. You skip the entry line with reserved tickets already in hand, then head to the Nature Interpretation Center to get the lay of the land (the park's flora, fauna, how it all fits together) before boarding the park train toward the Upper and Lower trails.
The catwalks on the Argentine side of Iguazu Falls put you right at the edge of the cascades, and the sheer volume of water creates a permanent mist that hangs over everything. The Devil's Throat, Garganta del Diablo, is the biggest single drop in the system, and because this is a private tour, you set the pace and choose which sections you want to see first. You can walk the green path on foot if you prefer, or take the train deeper into the forest. Around midday you break for lunch at the food center (your own expense), then continue exploring the park's other falls and viewpoints with your guide pointing out details about the region's ecology and history that you'd miss on your own.
By late afternoon the private vehicle takes you back to Puerto Iguazú Airport for the return flight to Buenos Aires, landing between 8 PM and midnight. If you booked the flight option, a driver meets you at Buenos Aires Airport for the final transfer back to your hotel. The whole day (airport to airport, guide included, park entry covered) runs from before sunrise to well after dark, which is why the early pickup matters. It's the only way to fit a full day at Iguazu and still make it home the same night.
