The experience
Day one focuses on the Argentine side of Iguazu Falls. A professional guide takes you through Iguazú National Park on scenic trails, moving at a pace that lets you absorb the scale of the falls. The centerpiece is the Devil's Throat (an 80-meter drop that concentrates the largest flow of water at Iguazu) reached by train deeper into the forest. You'll stand on catwalks directly above it, where the permanent mist and roar of water make the sheer volume impossible to ignore. Later that day comes the Great Adventure boat ride, which takes you into the lower Iguazú River for an up-close encounter with the falls from water level.
Day two shifts to the Brazilian side, where the viewpoints offer a different perspective on the same waterfalls. You walk scenic trails along the rim, seeing the full sweep of the falls and the Devil's Throat from across the gorge. The afternoon includes a visit to the Bird Park, a conservation center near the national park where you walk through aviaries to see toucans, macaws, parrots and other tropical birds up close while learning about local wildlife and conservation work.
The tour includes a professional guide for both days, entry to both national parks, and the boat ride. Hotel pickup is available for accommodations in Iguazú. The agency will confirm your pickup time once the itinerary is set. Lunch and drinks are on your own expense. Note that US citizens need a Brazil visa before the tour: entry to the Brazilian side requires valid documentation, and the tour cannot proceed without it.

Is this one for you?The two-day structure lets you experience both the Argentine and Brazilian perspectives of the same waterfalls without rushing: day one's trails and boat ride, day two's panoramic viewpoints and wildlife. If you have only one day available, a single-day option would be more practical. If you want to linger longer or add other activities in the region, a longer tour might suit you better.
