Walk both sides of Iguazu in two days, from the Devil's Gorge to the spray of the falls

A 2-day private tour of Iguazu Falls from Puerto Iguazu covers the Argentine side on day one and the Brazilian side on day two, with a live guide in English, Spanish or Portuguese and hotel pickup both days. The Argentine itinerary includes three circuits and an 8-kilometer walk through the park. The Brazilian side features a 1,500-meter trail ending at the Devil's Gorge viewpoint, with the option to add a boat ride in the afternoon. Park entry fees are separate.

The experience

Day one starts at your hotel at 7:30 (or a time you choose) and heads to the Argentine side of Iguazu National Park. A private vehicle and guide take you through a tourist corridor that bypasses the main queues, then an eco-friendly train carries you to the trailhead. You walk three circuits at your own pace: the Devil's Gorge first, where the force of the water hits from all directions, then the Upper Circuit for panoramic views from above the falls, and the Lower Circuit to explore angles from the base. The walk covers about 8 kilometers total through Atlantic forest, where tucans, butterflies and quatis move through the canopy.

Day two moves to the Brazilian side, where a licensed vehicle enters a VIP area directly: no waiting at the entrance. A 1,500-meter trail reveals the full span of the more than 275 falls, each step shifting the view until you reach the high point: the Devil's Gorge viewpoint on the Brazilian side, where the sound and spray create a different sensation than the Argentine vantage. After the trail, lunch at Porto Canoas restaurant overlooks the falls. In the afternoon, you can choose to add the boat ride, which takes you close enough to the water that spray soaks you.

Your guide speaks English, Spanish or Portuguese and travels with you both days in an air-conditioned vehicle. Hotel pickup is included. Park entry tickets for both countries are purchased separately at the gate.

What's the difference between the Argentine and Brazilian sides of Iguazu Falls?

The Argentine side holds most of the falls and offers multiple circuits and angles from above and below the water. The Brazilian side provides a panoramic view of all 275 falls from a single 1,500-meter trail ending at the Devil's Gorge, where the spray and sound are most intense.

How much walking is involved on each day?

Do I need to arrange my own transportation between the hotel and the park?

No, hotel pickup is included both days. Your private vehicle collects you at the agreed time and returns you after the tour.

What happens if I want to do the boat ride on day two?

The boat trip is optional and can be added in the afternoon after the Brazilian side trail. You arrange it at checkout, and it takes you close to the falls where the water spray soaks you.

Are park entry tickets included in the tour price?

No, park tickets are separate: the Argentine park costs 35 USD, the Brazilian park 20 USD, plus a 2 USD eco-tourist fee. You pay these at the gate on each day.
