The tour starts with coffee at El Ateneo Grand Splendid, a 1919 converted theater now ranked among the world's most beautiful bookstores, where you meet your guide before the walk begins. From there, the route moves through Barrio Norte to see the Palacio de Aguas Corrientes (a "water palace" wrapped in 300,000 terracotta tiles), and the French-style Palacio Pizzurno, both relics of the city's golden age. Then into Recoleta's tree-lined streets, past the Floralis Genérica sculpture and the Basílica del Pilar, to the legendary Gomero tree and a glimpse of Avenida Alvear.

On the full-day option, Recoleta Cemetery is the centerpiece: a 45–60 minute walk through marble-lined passages to the tomb of Eva Perón and the graves of other Argentine legends, with admission included. The guide explains the stories, often macabre, that make this "City of the Dead" unlike anywhere else on the planet. After that, you move through Tribunales to see the Teatro Colón and the Supreme Court, then stop for a local lunch: on weekdays at El Patio, a courtyard inside a historic convent.
