The Experience
The Teton Mountain Range rises 11,000 to 13,000 feet straight from the valley floor with no foothills to soften the climb, and a local guide knows the roads and the timing that put you in front of wildlife instead of behind the crowds. You start from your Jackson Hole hotel, and the route moves through the park's key stops—Jenny Lake with its glacial moraine at the base of the peaks, Jackson Lake fed by the Snake River, Oxbow Bend where the river bends back on itself and reflects Mt. Moran, and Mormon Row with the iconic Moulton barns built by homesteaders a century ago. The guide carries binoculars and knows the habitat: grizzlies, bison, moose and pronghorn antelope move through these valleys, and the timing of the day is built around where they're likely to be.
Breakfast comes before the park—a choice of sausage egg cheese burrito, bacon egg cheese burrito, egg cheese muffin or yogurt and fruit—and lunch is a sandwich (turkey and provolone, ham and Swiss, roast beef and cheddar, or vegetarian) on white, wheat or gluten-free bread. From May 15 through September 30, the tour includes a 60-minute boat ride on Jenny Lake, a glacial moraine lake named after a Shoshone woman. The rest of the year, you explore the lake from the shore. Park entry and the use of binoculars are included; if you're not a US resident, park fees are an additional charge per person.
The full day runs 8 to 9 hours, and the private transport means the pace stays yours—no waiting for a group to board, no stops held for stragglers. The guide speaks English and knows the park's ecology and history. Rain or shine, the tour operates; dress for the weather and the elevation. Children from age 6 are welcome, and younger children can ride in a pram or stroller.

What wildlife might I actually see on this Grand Teton tour?
The guide searches for grizzlies, bison, moose and pronghorn antelope throughout the day. Oxbow Bend is a known spot for white pelicans, trumpeter swans, blue herons and occasionally beaver, fox and grizzly bears, especially in the early morning or late afternoon when the water is still.
Does the Jenny Lake boat ride happen on every departure?
The 60-minute scenic boat ride on Jenny Lake runs from May 15 through September 30. Outside that window, you explore Jenny Lake from the shore instead.
What's included in the meals on this tour?
Breakfast is your choice of sausage egg cheese burrito, bacon egg cheese burrito, egg cheese muffin or yogurt and fruit. Lunch is a sandwich—turkey and provolone, ham and Swiss, roast beef and cheddar, or vegetarian—on white, wheat or gluten-free bread.
How does pickup work from Jackson Hole hotels?
Round-trip transport from your Jackson Hole hotel is included; the driver picks you up in the morning and returns you at the end of the day. Breakfast happens before entering the park.
What is Oxbow Bend and why does the tour stop there?
Oxbow Bend is a curve in the Snake River where the water stills and reflects Mt. Moran of the Teton range. The guide stops there because it's a reliable spot to see wildlife—white pelicans, trumpeter swans, blue herons and occasionally beaver, fox and grizzly bears drink or hunt along the banks.
Are there any extra costs beyond the tour price?
Park entry is included. If you're not a US resident, non-resident park fees are an additional charge per person. Guide gratuity (commonly 15–20%) is optional and separate.
