The experience
The day starts at 9am from your hotel with a speedboat ride to Koh Chuek, where you snorkel the vibrant coral reefs for just over an hour. The boat then heads to Koh Mook and the Emerald Cave: the centerpiece of the tour. You swim through a narrow 80-meter tunnel carved into the rock. Sunlight bouncing off the water turns it emerald green as you emerge into a hidden sandy beach ringed by towering cliffs. This only works at low tide, so timing matters. After exploring the cave, the boat carries you to Koh Kradan for a three-hour stop: a buffet lunch served on the beach, then free time to swim, relax or snorkel the coral reef nearby.
From Koh Kradan you travel to Koh Ngai for another hour of swimming and snorkeling before the return journey to Ko Lanta, with dropoff at your accommodation. The boat carries soft drinks, drinking water and fresh fruit throughout the day. Snorkeling equipment is provided, and a guide in English is with the group the whole time. Passenger insurance covers everyone on board. The full day runs from 9am to around 4pm, though the exact return time depends on traffic and tides.

It may be canceled due to bad weather. If that happens, you're offered another date or a refund. Free cancellation up to 24h before the start.
What is the Emerald Cave and how do I get inside it?
Koh Mook's Emerald Cave is a natural chamber inside a cliff face, accessed by swimming through an 80-meter-long tunnel. Sunlight reflects off the water inside, creating the emerald-green color the cave is named for. On the far side is a hidden sandy beach surrounded by the cliff walls. Access depends on low tide. If the water level is too high, the tunnel becomes impassable.
How many hours of actual snorkeling do I get?
You snorkel at three separate stops: Koh Chuek for just over an hour in the morning, Koh Kradan for a session after lunch, and Koh Ngai for another hour in the afternoon. The exact time at each reef varies with the boat schedule and tides.
Is hotel pickup included, and what time does the boat leave?
Yes, round-trip hotel pickup is included. The speedboat departs at 9am from Koh Lanta and returns you to your accommodation around 4pm, depending on tides and traffic.
What snorkeling gear do I need to bring?
Snorkeling equipment (mask, fins and snorkel) is provided on the boat. Bring only a swimsuit, towel, sunscreen and any personal items you want to keep dry. Wear reef-safe sunscreen to protect the coral.
