Tandem Paragliding over Tenerife: South Island Views

An hour aloft over the Canary Islands, strapped to an experienced pilot

Tandem paragliding over Tenerife is a 60-minute flight where you're harnessed to a qualified pilot and launched from the mountains to glide over the south of the island. Hotel pickup and drop-off from select hotels in the south are included, as are helmet and safety equipment. A live guide speaks English or Spanish throughout.

The experience

You get picked up from your hotel in the South of Tenerife and driven to the mountains, where the crew prepares you for flight. The pilot handles the wing and the landing. You experience the view. An hour in the air gives you time to settle into the sensation and take in the coastline, the terrain below, and the scale of the island from a vantage point most visitors never reach.

The crew has years of experience and manages the whole operation: your safety gear, the launch, the flight path, and the landing. You're strapped in beside the pilot, so there's no learning curve or equipment to operate yourself. The guide speaks English or Spanish, so the commentary and any instructions come through clearly. This is the kind of experience people say lands on their bucket list: the view from up there, the sensation of flight, and the knowledge that someone who does this every day has you secured.
