The experience

The flight lasts 20–25 minutes, but the full experience runs about two hours from pickup to landing. You'll meet your pilot at the start, receive a detailed safety and flight briefing, then walk to the launch area. The drive to either Ifonche (1,000 meters altitude) or Taucho (750 meters) takes 20–35 minutes by air-conditioned vehicle, and the operator chooses whichever site offers the best conditions that day. Height at takeoff matters: starting higher means more time to develop the acrobatic sequences without rushing the descent.

Once airborne, the flight splits into phases. You'll experience relaxing moments and sports moments, but the core is acrobatic: spins, wing overs and dynamic maneuvers that create the adrenaline rush. The pilot controls the wing and the flight path. You're secured in a harness and helmet, feeling the movement and the altitude. If conditions allow, you'll land on the beach, which closes the flight with a visual punctuation most people don't forget. If not, a standard landing zone works just as well.

Daniel Crespo, the director and your pilot, holds the current Spanish XC championship in club class and the Canarian championship. He was the national champion in 2018 and the two-seater Spanish champion in 2016 and 2018. That résumé means you're flying with someone who competes at the top level, not someone who teaches beginners on the side. The company supplies all equipment (paraglider, helmet, harness) plus bottled water and five gift photos from the flight. A guide speaks English, Spanish, Italian or French.
