Around 11:20 am you shift to Bukchon Hanok Village, a 20-minute walk away. The streets narrow and the architecture changes completely—hanok houses with their sloped tile roofs and wooden frames line the alleys, and between them are cafes, galleries, and small museums run by locals. You're not rushing through; the guide points out details about how the houses are built and why they've survived when so much of Seoul got rebuilt. Lunch happens in Insadong after another 20 to 30 minutes on foot, and here you choose what you eat—kimchi stew, bibimbap, or cold noodles—and pay directly at the restaurant (around 12,000 to 15,000 KRW). After that, a traditional tea house for a cup of Korean tea (10,000 KRW), and then you're free to wander or head back.
