The experience
You land at Queen Alia International Airport and your driver meets you holding a sign with your name. From that moment, a single certified driver stays with your group for all eight days, handling every route while you navigate the itinerary at your own pace. The vehicle is modern, air-conditioned, stocked with complimentary water and free Wi-Fi. No coordinating daily transport, no negotiating with different operators each morning: one person, one car, eight days.
Day two takes you north to Jerash, one of the best-preserved classical cities in the world, where you walk through colonnaded streets, past the Temple of Artemis and Hadrian's Arch, and into an amphitheater that once held 5,000 spectators. From there you move to As-Salt, a UNESCO-recognized city built across three mountains, where you can visit the Abu Jaber Museum and the Great Mosque. Back in Amman that evening, a local guide can walk you through downtown neighborhoods and past the Amman Citadel and Roman Theater: sites most guidebooks skip. Day three heads south through Madaba, known for its Byzantine mosaics, and Mount Nebo, where the view opens onto the Dead Sea and Jordan Valley. You pass through the Dana Biosphere Reserve, home to 800 plant species and 449 animal species, before reaching Shobak Castle, a Crusader fortress with a 350-step secret passage carved down to a freshwater spring.
Day four is devoted entirely to Petra. You spend the full day exploring the rose-red canyon city carved by the Nabataeans over 2,000 years ago: the Treasury, the Monastery, the royal tombs, the network of channels that brought water across the desert. That night you sleep in Wadi Rum, the Valley of the Moon, where Bedouin camps sit under open sky. If you choose the accommodation option, dinner and breakfast are included. A 4x4 safari ride through the red sand dunes is also available. Day six moves you south to Aqaba on the coast, a four-hour drive from Amman. Day seven takes you to the Baptism Site of Bethany Beyond the Jordan River, the UNESCO-designated location where John the Baptist is believed to have baptized Jesus, then to the Dead Sea itself: 427 meters below sea level, ten times saltier than the ocean, rich enough in minerals that you float without effort. On day eight your driver returns you to the airport.
Dietary needs (vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free) are accommodated if you note them at booking. The Jordan Pass, purchased online before you arrive, covers the visa fee and entry to Petra, Wadi Rum, and many other sites. It is worth considering if you plan to stay more than three nights. Hot-air balloon rides and camel rides are available for an additional fee. This is your group's tour alone. No strangers join the vehicle or the itinerary.

Top questions
What languages is the tour guided in?
Live guide in English and Arabic.
What is Petra like when you actually walk through it?
Petra is a canyon city carved into rose-red stone by the Nabataeans 2,000 years ago. You enter through a narrow gorge called the Siq, then emerge into a vast amphitheater of facades. The Treasury is the most famous, a 40-meter-high temple front carved directly into the cliff. The site spreads across a wide valley with royal tombs, a monastery, and a network of channels the Nabataeans engineered to carry water through the desert. A full day lets you move at your own pace through the main sites without rushing.
How does Wadi Rum work? Do you actually camp there?
Wadi Rum is a desert valley of red sand and rock formations, historically home to Bedouin tribes. If you choose the accommodation option, you stay overnight in a Wadi Rum camp with dinner and breakfast included. A 4x4 safari ride through the dunes is also part of that option. Without the accommodation add-on, you visit Wadi Rum during the day and overnight elsewhere.
Is the Dead Sea really as salty as they say?
The Dead Sea is about ten times saltier than typical ocean water and sits 427 meters below sea level, the lowest point on Earth. The high mineral content (magnesium, sodium, potassium, bromine) makes you float effortlessly on your back. The water is warm and the air holds more oxygen than most places, which is why it has drawn visitors since ancient times, including King Herod and Cleopatra.
What happens on arrival day?
Your driver meets you at Queen Alia International Airport holding a sign with your name, helps with luggage, and drives you to your accommodation in Amman. The rest of the day is yours to rest or explore at your own pace.
Do you need a car rental or guide experience to book this?
No. Your certified English-speaking driver handles all navigation and logistics. You do not arrange daily transport or coordinate with different operators. Meals and local guides at individual sites can be arranged separately if you want them, but the transportation and route are fully managed.
What is included in the price and what costs extra?
Private transportation with your dedicated driver, air-conditioned vehicle, complimentary water and Wi-Fi, and accommodation in Wadi Rum with dinner and breakfast are included if you choose the accommodation option. The 4x4 safari ride in Wadi Rum is also part of that option. The transportation-only option covers the driver and vehicle without Wadi Rum accommodation. Hot-air balloon rides and camel rides are available for an additional fee. The Jordan Pass (visa plus site entry) is recommended and purchased separately online.
